Darina is a Basel-based specialist in historical flutes. She is a graduate of the Schola Cantorum and the Moscow State Conservatory, prize winner of the Wassenaer Competition as a member of the Renaissance ensemble PHAEDRUS, recipient of the REMA Prize and the Early Music America Scholarship, and has been selected for the International Young Artist Performance in Antwerp and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.
Darina is a passionate orchestral and ensemble player. She has made numerous appearances with various orchestras in Europe as 1st flutist on period instruments, performing the orchestral works of Charpentier and Rameau, Lully and Purcell, as well as St. John Passion, Christmas Oratorio, St. Matthew Passion, Mozart concertos as soloist and in orchestra, Beethoven’s symphonies, and CD recordings on the Aparte label with the Orkester Nord.
